When You Feel Like Quitting Writing

Writing can be disheartening. You aren't making progress. No sales. Rejections. The book deal seems like an unattainable dream.


The next story might sell.


That next book might catch fire and gain that readership you've been hoping for.


The next query might get you an agent.


The next book might find the right reader, who talks it up to everyone.


None of that happens if you quit.


Writing this as a reminder to myself and whoever else needs to hear it.
