Novellas in Progress

The sequel to The Island is almost done. Should clock in around 35-40K words. It's got plenty of action. And monsters. Lots of monsters.

Also working on a second novella which I may submit to a current open call.

I've been enjoying writing novellas in the 30-40K word range. As time goes on, I enjoy writing and reading shorter books. When I was under contract with Kensington, the books had to be 100K words, minimum. I can write that length, but I prefer shorter, tightly plotted stories these days.

My longest novel since going the Indie/self-pub route has been 70K words. At this point, that's probably my upper limit, unless I decide to try and write an epic/doorstop novel. We will see.
